Tools v Strategy - what's the BIG rush? - Strategy means more.

With the technology revolution truly upon us, what's the best way to manage your social strategy?  How do you use social media? A way of staying in touch with your friends perhaps or a way of staying in touch with your customers. The emphasis is on driving through and connecting with people, but what good is that without knowing who you are connecting with and why?

It' s a bit like building a house. You really do need to know what your end outcome or output it is that you want even before you start to buy the tools. Things to consider, how many rooms you want? a mansion? or a stone cottage? how many bathrooms? Once you have an idea, you will understand what you'll need to build what you want!

It's the same with Social Media,  Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, FourSquare, Digg, delico.us, blogs and all the rest are tools in your arsenal. These are all means to an end and having greater clarity and organisation in determining what you want will help you achieve these goals.

The array of social media tools available are a means to an end, not an end in themselves. Great, they're "free" but that comes at a cost of time, effort, ideas and commitments. The good news is that an effective social media strategy if thought through correctly can enhance and enable you to reach out directly to your customers in a way that is meaningful and helpful. Allowing you to be come an industry leader which is exactly what you want!.

What Stops You Getting What You Want? and getting it NOW.

What stops many of us dead in our tracks from truly achieving what it is we want? Balance, lack of time or just plain laziness. The most important thing you can consider when getting a job done is really what the best way is for you to Connect.

Connecting

True connection with what you want to achieve must allow plenty of time for you to do just that so that the job is complete, has to be good quality time and where you feel the time of day suits for it to be optimal working.

Simple – the true nature of how to get things done is to just plan what’s right for you.

So for e.g for years I’ve been saying I’d like to write more. This year I realised that the best time for me to write is anywhere between the 5:30am and 7am in the morning. Why? because it allows me time to be fresh and my mind is rested and peaceful. This is my time before I choose to be thrown into the action and the ‘buzz’ of daily life.

Connection to your values, your beliefs and also your goals is essential but the best way to do that is through some quiet time that becomes habit.

Quiet Time that becomes Habit

Quiet time can be anything from meditation to purposeful movement along a sandy beach or a jog out in a country space. maybe dance – something creative to inspire your soul and something personal to just you. It is anything that allows you to really, feel at your very best and continue to aspire and be successful.

I like to take time out by going for a long country walk in the woods, this is my time to reflect, understand what I want to do in this day and connect with the moment.

This joyful state allows people to connect with a free mind, heart and soul that allows you to appreciate, be grateful for and focus. It allows for a mind shift that patternises your future success and gets you in the mind set to kick ass and really go for it and action your goals.

Once you have this quiet time scheduled in the diary, take the time to make it a habit. A great habit like this one will then set your day up so you can achieve what you need to in the best possible way. This alignement together with your connecting planning will really help you move forward and excelerate your growth and potential with the mindset of a winner.

Mindset is everything and learning how to make your mind positively shine through will help you achieve as many goals as you choose to set.

Simple – as powerful and strong as a stone skimming acoss water at the speed of light and rippling through the water with minimum wave movement combined with perfect clarity and strength to end up at exactly where it is you want to be.
